The Georgian Residences Summary
This stylish mid-rise development presents a fantastic opportunity to own in one of the fastest revitalizing areas in Downtown Toronto.
The Georgian is a new mid-rise condominium development by Stafford Homes in Toronto. This pre-construction project is located at 227 Gerrard St E, on the eastern side of Downtown Toronto in the transforming Cabbagetown neighborhood.
This development is going to have ample space for amenities both on the inside and out. It will also increase the retail in the region due to its commercial retail units that will face out toward Gerrard Street.
|
Location & Neighborhood
According to the Cabbagetown Preservation Association, this is the largest contiguous area of preserved Victorian housing in North America, but there are more condos coming to the region. It scores a 92 on its Walk Score and a perfect 93 on its Transit Score.
The Georgian Condos is on the southern side of Gerrard Street East, and it will take up an entire city block in between Seaton Street on the west and Ontario Street on the east. To the north there’s existing low-rise residential housing, to the east there’s more low-rise residential housing along with a small convenience store, more low-rise residential housing to the south, and low-rise service buildings to the west.
This development is only a few blocks away from Parliament Street too, which is becoming a major commercial stretch in eastern Toronto, equipped with neighborhood staples like a Dollarama, No Frills grocery store, and pharmacy. It also has plenty of restaurants that range from take-out to upscale gastropubs. One highlight is the House on Parliament, which features upscale pub fare and a warm wood-laden environment.
